International sales consultant for the Biersdorf Corporation based in Europe. Published childrenÕs book author ÒMommy whatÕs a stepdad?Ó (Currently on sale at Target, www.amazaon.com U.S. and UK). Pilot of a small aircraft.

I have and am responsible for several multi-million dollar feasibility studies and program management. Ensuring success by taking disciplined, methodical approaches on fiscal, social, environmental and economic impacts.

1. What do you believe is the most important issue facing the county?

Lack of privatized industry for citizenÕs ways and means due to corruption.

2. Do you support funding for the Sportspark/Field of Dreams?

Yes, however, we must look at what if any impact the underlying scope of work has on environmental issues. The economic/social venues it might produce should be based on study (doubt one was made). It is necessary from an economic and environmental standpoint.

3. What is the next step for the Thomason Children's Hospital?

Appointment of experienced individuals to the board with proven track records

4. What would you do with Ascarate Park? Should the county be in the parks business at all?

Must look at all options. Although not a mandate, the local government has a responsibility to provide venues for family and social growth while promoting economic stability and tourism

5. How does the FBI public corruption investigation impact the county?

Severely handicaps its citizens and its resources. The inability to lead fosters lack of trust and respect. The values and dreams of our children and impressionable adults are tainted thus undermining the pursuit of happiness guarantee signed by our countryÕs forefathers.

6. Should the county be part of the Downtown Plan in terms of participation in the TIRZ? Why or why not?

Need more information in order to answer.

7. Do you think Thomason Hospital board members ought to be elected? Why or why not?

They must be appointed. This way a governing body with no experience is ensured not to be placed. There must be a diverse set of skills in place in order to achieve the good and excellence now expected. An authority must be in place but only if it has a diverse well-established track record within its participants.

8. Would you support complete consolidation? Short of that, how can commissioners work more closely with the city, and what specific steps would you commit to?

Yes! Through communication, communication, communication!!! It fosters trust and transparency on an equal open playing field where all strengths and shortcomings are on the table from both sides.

9. Should the county go to a manager system?

Conflicts with above question but we must look at all options given the poor track records accumulated through the decades (El Paso has been kept in hibernation due to individuals seeking their own triumphs and not that of the collected community). A manager system might be a viable option if cooperation is not developed by both city and county.

10. What role does the county have in regulating development, what more can be done, and how, specifically, would you ensure neighborhoods in the county meet the same standards as neighborhoods in the city?

Must use PBS to foster involvement. Who wants to watch hours of silly debates and watch helplessly and our tax dollars are drained into the abyss of no real monetary return. I assume most people might watch if it has to do with community issues, cost of living and quality of life!
